Craigslist + eBay = Money to fund real estate investing

Good day and Merry Christmas!


This short message is to those I “met” when you replied to my marketing (Craigslist, blogs, website, etc.) concerning real estate investing or telling others about our real estate investing school (We create real estate investors) and making money by doing so. I want to keep in touch with you because I know that with anything, it’s usually the timing isn’t right (money is never the problem). Readers of this blog are welcome to read this too. 

Today I will share a very simple method to earn money using the Internet and follow this with two short videos by a young real estate investor and an older real estate investor; both making money by being part of our community of investors and Renatus. (Some readers did not go through any or all of our 3 overview sessions so you may not know that).

Craigslist + eBay = MONEY!

This is a very simple way to earn money. I’m not going to tell you how to set up your Craigslist account or eBay account here. That’s more involved and I will cover that in my blog if you ask me about it in the comments.

  • First open Internet browser.
  • Open your local Craigslist site.
  • Click on either FOR SALE or FREE.
  • Look at something that is either for sale or for free, copy the item name and description.
  • Now open eBay site.
  • Open the search box for “completed listings”* and paste the item description in the box. If the item sells for more than what the Craigslist person wants for the item, contact the person and arrange to buy it and then sell it on eBay

*This is very important. Don’t look at things that are just “for sale”; this is what people want to get for their things you want to base your pricing on what people actually sold the item for.  
That’s essentially it. Just be sure to not spend too much time on this or too little time. Be consistent and set aside maybe an hour daily to do this and keep your commitment to yourself. On the other hand, try not to spend 3 hours one day (as time can easily get away from you when on the computer) and 2 hours another day and quit saying this doesn’t work. Some days you’ll find things and other days you will; just be consistent do this one hour each day and have fun! For answers to any questions, leave them in the comments section below.

You have to be able to present to small and large crowds and be proficient at using online tools to present webinars. This is a great gig for Toastmasters members and teachers of schools, colleges and business universities.

You’ll be presenting our real estate investing school, what we do, why and how we do it. Having said that, know that it is not important that you know anything of real estate investing; we train.

To become a real estate investor trainer with us requires that you first be a student, and graduate. You can usually do this within one year. As a public speaker you can conceivably earn around the $250K* per year range but many speakers with us make much more and this does not include any of their real estate investing projects.

Our most popular school course package is approximately $20,000 (we offer creative ways to finance this if you need funding). After graduating you should be doing profitable deals which will quickly give you a return on your investment and you’ll start making “public speaking/training money”.

So, you’ve invested approximately $20K to get $250K not a bad deal I think you’ll agree. But get this; you’ll continue earning that $250K each year and only pay the $20K one time!

Compare this to college. $20K won’t even get you in the front door of most colleges and getting a job using what you’ve taken in college to get you $250K each year is unheard of.

Compare this to a franchise. However most franchises require much more money up front and you have to pay a monthly royalty, and have all other kinds of requirements placed on yourself and your time. I’ll let you do the research; it’s easy to find.

Is there a Legit (Online) Real Estate Investing School and How Much Does it Cost?


I was recently doing a phone interview with a woman who responded to one of our ads. She told me that she had built 3 hardware stores to a point where she was able to sell them to a national chain. However she now had no money because her husband took it all and left her. Her statement to me was that “if this costs any money, then I’m not interested”.

It was obvious to me that by the words of this woman that she was not only broke (which is a temporary situation, but that she had “broke” thinking which is more damaging and lasts as long as the person chooses to keep it and own it. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and proceeded to share with her a little about how we do things to see how she would react.

After I shared a bit about our company she told me “You haven’t answered my question; if this costs anything then I’m not interested”. The conversation didn’t last long after that as she was “stuck” in that rut of the record that she kept playing in her mind. After the call was ended I wondered if she really did build three hardwares to the point of selling them or that she was part of a team that the other half did most of the work and was the half that left her. If someone has built a business they know that they had to put some money in it at the beginning at least. They had to plant a seed for it to grow and a seed of business is money. And further, if you are going to school, one needs to know that the school is a business with bills to pay and gets revenue from the students to pay these bills.



I know that what she was saying is that she did not physically have the money that moment in her purse but she was not open to the thinking of how to get money into that purse so she could again invest in herself and change her situation. Hopefully something will happen in her life to ignite her imagination to create something that will better her situation.

I also thought that I could have told her that the “cost” could be as low as “zero”, but here is the lesson for my readers. If someone has “broke” thinking, let them alone until they “come around”. Don’t try to drag them into your business because you’ll be dragging them all the time, and you don’t have time to do that; regardless the business you have.

Following is a “script” that I could have shared with her, but again, that is my “sales” mode coming out in me. The script might work for you if you were “selling” something, but in my case, I’m not “selling” as much as I’m “informing” and I don’t want someone as a business partner who isn’t “strong”.

“There are several options which they go over in the interview. Depending on what you want to do, it’s zero, $125, around $3,000, $7,000 or $20,000 depending on how much ownership you take part in. But it does start at zero and we can show you how.

I am only the appointment center and all they want me to do is register people. I’m not supposed to tell you anything that will either influence you or dissuade you because that messes with their marketing stats. Would you like to be registered for the 1 p.m. online briefing, or the 7 p.m.?”

Now dear reader, the reason why I’m sharing the above with you is first, in a round about way, tell you what the “cost” is, even though that is a question you have but it isn’t your first question. And the second reason is that most people joining us and attending the school (and especially for our Independent Marketing Associates) have and use  sales techniques and have a business in which they too need to use some “posture” when acquiring partners and to not be so eager to take everyone in your business who answers your ads.

If you can’t go through a 3 step interview process to research our school, and how we do business, then again I must tell you to please move on. I only say this because we get a lot of response to our marketing and just as with anything else, more people than not, lack the will to succeed. They are not strong, are not disciplined or don't believe in themselves enough to even make it through the 3 step interview process! They make assumptions and tell themselves that they can’t do something without getting all of the facts. If you want to live to be, do and have what others only wish about, don’t let that be you.

The first step is a 15 minute briefing that gives you a bit of an overview (this usually weeds out the weak). The second session is about 45 minutes in length which is really a “Wealth Webinar” that we could probably charge you for but we don’t because we also incorporate an introduction to the school and what, how and why we do things the way we do. And the third session can be a bit longer because we cover the marketing option where you can make money outside of attending the school or use it to fund your way through your classes. (That's the $1,000 to $10,000 commissions I mentioned earlier. If you are not getting checks like that or getting paid twice weekly, you definitely need to listen to this). The third session is also where we answer everyone’s questions so it’s hard to know exactly when it will get done.



When you’ve made it through the three steps, you’ll speak with your mentor which will continue to work with you through your first deal and longer if you need it; and it’s at no additional cost.

If you are looking for real, real estate investing education, you can stop looking; there is none better. But, as I’ve said, we do not take everyone!
